A Message from the Pastor of Faith Worship Center

We are a church that is reaching out to our community with the message of Jesus Christ. It is with great enthusiasm we place this information in your hands because we are excited about what God is doing here as He is changing lives weekly. Today we are living in a world where addictions run rampant. Never before have we seen so many lives affected by addictions. Drugs and alcohol have a greater hold on today's society than any time I ever remember. Faith Worship Center is located in a county with one of the highest teenage pregnancy rates in the entire United States. The use of drugs such as methamphetamines that are manufactured in numerous places by people who have but one objective and that is to make money, are available to anyone who would want it. "Pastor, what a bleak picture you paint," you might say. We can call it what we want but it is a picture of what sin can do to lives of individuals, and thus to an entire community when we allow it to control us. Many of us think we can change all
this by electing the right officials to public office and I agree we need the right people in place to lead us, however the answer does not rest here alone. We must be a people who really believe that God is greater than our situation and be bold enough in faith to speak this message to the people no matter what their condition may be. We must tell those held in bondage by the addictions of the flesh that there is hope, and that hope is in Christ Jesus. I personally believe this is far more important than it is for Christians to be arguing over whose doctrines may be right. People today have great problems and they need a great God... and I KNOW ONE! HIS NAME IS JESUS! He is our hope and He can take care of every problem and addiction we are willing to place in His hands. As pastor of Faith Worship Center that is the message I speak and we are a church that puts it to practice. We simply believe Jesus is the answer to turning this area that is currently leading in all these wrong statistics into the area that will be leading this nation in all the right ones. I believe through the message of Jesus Christ we can see this county become the one that has the least number of teenage pregnancies, drug addictions, meth-labs, etc. I also believe we can become the county that goes from one of the most un-churched in the state to the county where God is first. That message must go out to the people if change and healing is to come, and I am a pastor who is willing to believe and speak it. It is what I tell our congregation, our staff, our other pastors, and we believe it is the message from the cross. Yes, there is hope and we want to help you find it. We look forward to having you become a part of the congregation here at Faith Worship Center.

Believing there is hope,

Statement of Faith

We believe in the "Trinity" of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe our sins were paid for on the cross when Jesus, the Son of God, was crucified. We believe through faith in His name in believing that our sins were covered by His great sacrifice on that same cross that we are saved from our sins. We also believe it is at that act of faith that we receive the Holy Spirit in our hearts to lead us and guide us in this new walk of faith. We further believe in an act of water baptism to show publicly that we have taken this step of faith to walk in a new life led by the Holy Spirit. We believe this baptism in water represents the death, burial, and resurrection showing the "old person" has died and been buried and the "new person" has been raised up to show forth a new life in Christ. We believe also that we are then "babies" in Christ and we are to read and be taught in His Word which is the Holy Bible from which we are taught the principles for our new walk. We believe in the "Gifts of the Spirit," to help us in our walk with Christ, and that they are to be "desired" by the believer according to I Corinthians, chapter fourteen. We believe that as the apostle Paul tells us that we should "grow up" in Christ by becoming students of His Word so as to be adults in the Christian walk and not stay as a baby or one who has not grown in the Lord. We further believe we are to do as the Word of God teaches us and that is to go out into the fields and help reap the harvest and not just sit comfortably in the pews of the church sanctuary. We emphasize this as pastors and Sunday School teachers and encourage every Child of God to become soul winners for Christ through sharing their testimonies and the Word of God with others as we are told in Proverbs 11:30 - The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
